FISAMU PROJECT MANAGER  and FISAMU at large welcome you to MAKERERE UNIVERSITY, where excellence is nurtured, pursued and celebrated as we work to create positive change for a better world. Starting university is an exciting but also daunting time for our new students. We want to make sure students are not only well-informed but feel welcome and inspired when arriving on campus.

The   Fisheries and Aquculture course   is Uganda’s foremost and only centre directly concerned with  research and training of fisheries scientists among her institutions of higher learning. Since its inception, the course has been running undergraduate and graduate programmes fisheries sciences, leading to the award of B.Sc., M.Sc., and PhD degrees.

This year, you can look forward to encountering a highly intensive and challenging academic program that will push you to work beyond your limits.  However, I am confident that all of you have the capacity and ability to meet our expectations and the demands of your new classes and teachers.  Our goal is to ensure that all students become critical thinkers, active problem-solvers, inquisitive readers, diligent researchers.

FISAMU is willing to serve you to its best because its the association wich represents the fisheries students in Makerere. It is headed by Nazziwa Catherine who is the Presidents and asssisted by a team of hard working members.
